About

view down to main house from barn
Quinta Linda is a small farm ( quinta in Portuguese ) in northern Portugal of about 1.5 hectares.
The farm itself may be several hundred years old, and includes a traditional farm house ( semi-ruined ), a large barn ( slightly less-ruined ) and an ancient ruin ( really-ruined ), all of which may one day be reformed and rehabilitated and generally put back into use.
The farm has a southernly orientation, with a small stream running down the western border, which snakes it’s way down from the peak of the Caramulo mountain range above.
Sitting at about 700 meters above sea-level, with a stunning view out over forests and small villages, and 50km away to the peaks of the Serra de Estrela mountains ( still snow-capped now in April ).
This website is being created to record the on-going development and renovation of this historic and beautiful space.
Hello to everyone
We are Kika and Jaime, a portuguese and spanish young couple whose waiting for our first child to born in May. We are looking for a place to settle and start our family and we definitely want to do it off the grid and self sustainably.
We are writing to you because we thought you might be of great help or advice.
We’ve been checking lands to buy around the center of Portugal because we love the area. We would also like to be near people with the same or similar ideals as ours, and to give our child the opportunity of living near other children and have an alternative education. So if you know any land, or old farm around your area for sale or to be given away or something or if you have any other idea we would be very grateful.
A wonderful day to you all!
Kika and Jaime
